I have been learning Italian with Denise Castigliano for many years and I now feel confident to have a conversation without worrying if it is perfect. Denise has take us on a journey through Italy and we have learnt so much about italian culture, politics and much more. Denise is very approachable and encouraging and the classes are fun as well as educational. I look forward to meeting with my fellow students every week to share our weekly news and support and encourage each other to continue to keep learning .

I can't speak highly enough about the Leonardo Italian School! We initially started with in-person group classes, which provided an excellent introduction to the Italian language. Denise's dedication to creating a sense of community and organising group activities made the learning experience very enjoyable.
Since moving from Brisbane, we transitioned to private online lessons, and it has been fantastic. The flexibility of the private online lessons allows us to target specific areas of interest and receive the support we need. The school's adaptability and personalised approach have made our Italian learning journey a wonderful one. I highly recommend the Leonardo Italian School for anyone looking to learn Italian in a supportive and engaging environment.

Nothing can replace learning a language with real teachers and fellow students. Leonardo Italian School is an affordable, effective, and enjoyable place to start or continue your Italian language learning journey. Denise and her colleagues are excellent teachers that I highly recommend. I’ve only been attending for a couple of terms, but I feel that my language learning progress has been quick and effective thanks to them. I look forward to class each week!

I have attended this school and its previous creation for over 6 years. It has been an enjoyable and informative experience.
The small Italian classes are engaging and interesting.
The dedicated and knowledgeable Italian teacher is patient and can impart the subtleties of Italian grammar and the nuances of the Italian language. Hence, I return every year for more Italian lessons and conversation classes.

I love coming to Italian class every week. Denise is an amazing teacher and makes learning Italian feel easy through games, activities and conversation. Would highly recommend her school to anyone wanting to learn Italian (and I was a complete beginner). I used my lessons for travelling around italy for 3 weeks and was complimented on my Italian - all thanks to Denise!

I have been learning Italian with Denise Castigliano for over five years. As my class and I have progressed, Denise’s teaching techniques and methodologies have also gradually altered to suit our growth without making it obvious or arduous.
The emphasis on vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar is constant and consistent but in an easy manner without making learning a grim task. Denise comes up with a variety of teaching ways, exercises, and games to keep learning fresh. All conversations are in Italian with constant encouragement and oversight from Denise. Commonly used phrases and idioms are regularly focussed on with participation from everyone in the class. No matter how many students are present in the classroom, Denise has a knack to provide adequate and individual attention to everyone. Homework is always given and corrected. Denise is also extremely patient and helpful. She has an easy, excellent friendly relationship with all the students.
Learning has been made great fun with narrations and storytelling encouraged. I always eagerly look forward to my Italian classes. Denis is a wonderful teacher.

Like a lot of our classmates, my partner and I enrolled in Italian lessons prior to a trip to Italy. But we've loved these lessons so much that even after our trip we've decided to continue our studies. Denise is a fantastic teacher who is warm, patient, and always up for a laugh! We've always felt safe to make mistakes and encouraged on our learning journey. If you're thinking of taking up learning a language, this is a great place to do it!
